Control Panel

Status Messages

Control Panel Status Messages

Status messages in the control panel message display provide infor- mation about your printer and help you locate many problems. They are prioritized in order of severity with only the highest priority mes- sage displays.

When the status associated with a displayed message has changed, the message is cleared from the display and the next highest priority message is then displayed.

The illustration below shows the printer control panel:

IDLE

Power-Up Status Messages

The following status messages appear when the printer is first turned on:

Boot System Loading

The Softloader is loading the system image and preparing to run it.

Initializing

The Softloader is initializing and running internal diagnostics.
