Problem Checklist

This section provides a list of possible printer problems and solutions. If there is no status message, use the following steps to identify the source of your problem and to determine possible solutions:

1Do the On or Off indicators on the printer control panel come on? If they do not, check the following:

Is the power cord plugged into both the power outlet and the printer?

Is the printer turned on?

Is the controller turned on?

Is the power outlet working?

Does the line voltage from the power outlet match the printer's power requirements? (See appendix B, “Technical Specifications.”)

2Can you print a status page? If you cannot, check the follow- ing:

Did you take the printer off line before you tried to enter the menu structure?
