computerandallowittocooltoroomtemperature.Afteritcools,reinstallitandrechargethebattery.Ifit
stillcannotbecharged,haveitserviced.
Thissystemsupportsonlybatteriesspeciallydesignedforthisspecicsystemandmanufactured
byLenovooranauthorizedbuilder.Thesystemdoesnotsupportunauthorizedbatteriesorbatteries
designedforothersystems.Ifanunauthoriz edbatteryorabatterydesignedforanothersystemis
installed,thesystemwillnotcharge.

ACpoweradapterproblems
Problem:Theacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandtheworkingelectricaloutlet,butthe
poweradapter(powerplug)iconisnotdisplayedonthetaskbar.Alsotheacpowerindicatordoesnot
lightup.
Solution:Dothefollowing:
1.Mak esurethattheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect.Forinstructionsonconnectingtheac
poweradapter,seeSafety,Warranty,andSetupGuidethatcomeswithyourcomputer.
2.Iftheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect,turnoffthecomputer,thendisconnecttheacpower
adapterandremovethemainbattery.
3.Reinstallthebatteryandreconnecttheacpoweradapter ,thenturnonthecomputer.
4.IfthepoweradaptericonstillisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnoticationareaandtheacpower
indicatordoesnotlightup,havetheacpoweradapterandyourcomputerserviced.

rmlyattachedtotheadapterbrickandthecomputer .
4.V erifytheacpowersourceisworkingbyattachinganotherdevicetotheoutlet.
5.RemovethecomputerfromaThinkPadPortReplicatorSeries3,ThinkPadMiniDockSeries3,ThinkPad
MiniDockPlusSeries3,ortheThinkPadMiniDockPlusSeries3(170W).Referto“Detachinga

6.Removealldevicesandthentestforsystempowerwithminimaldevicesattached.
