Solving print quality problems
The information in the following topics may help you solve print quality problems. If these suggestions still do not
correct the problem, then contact Customer Suppor t. You may have a printer part that req uires adjustment or
replacement.

Isolating print quality problems

To help isolate print quality proble ms, print the print quality t est pages:
1Turn the printer off.
2Load paper.
3From the printer control pan el, hold down and the right arrow button while turning the printer on.
4Release the buttons when CONFIG MENU appears.
5Press the arrow button s until Prt Quality Pgs appears, and then press .
The print quality test pages print.
6Press the arrow button s until Exit Config Menu appears, and then press .
Resetting the Printer appear s briefly, and then Ready appears.

Blank pages

These are possible solutions. Try one or more of the following:

PACKING MATERIAL MAY BE ON THE TONER CARTRIDGE

Remove the toner cartrid ge and make sure the packing mater ial is properly removed. Reinstall the toner cartrid ge.
THE TONER MAY BE LOW
When 88 Cartridge low appears, order a new toner cartridge.
If the problem continues, the printer may need to b e serviced. For more information, con tact Customer Support.
