PROBLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
Major Physical or Electrical
Damage is Evident.
High frequency jumps from the
electrode to work but welding arc
does not establish
POSSIBLE
CAUSE
1. Contact your local Lincoln
Authorized Field Service
Facility
1. Make certain that the welder
power source has weld output-
Check for open circuit voltage
at welding power source
2. Make certain that the tungsten
type and size is correct for the
process
3. The tungsten may be
contaminated - clean or replace
RECOMMENDED
COURSE OF ACTION
If all recommended possible areas
of misadjustment have been
checked and the problem persists,
Contact your local Lincoln
Authorized Field Service Facility.
OUTPUT PROBLEMS
If for any reason you do not understand the test procedures or are unable to perform the tests/repairs safely,
contact your local Authorized Field Service Facility for technical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed.
