Archive Backup to FTP

A schedule for data backup to a local or remote FTP can be configured on the System.

1.Choose FTP from the ‘Select Device’ dropdown menu.

2.Press the FTP Button to access the FTP Settings:

•User ID: Enter the User ID used to log into the FTP site.

•Password: Enter the Password used to log into the FTP site.

•Address: Enter the IP Address of the FTP site

•Port: Enter the Port used to connect to the FTP Site.

Press the FTP Test button to test the connection to the FTP site. A ‘Success’ or ‘Fail’ message will appear.

Once a successful connection has been made, the FTP Configuration Menu will be displayed:

•Operation: Set the FTP Backup to ON or OFF.

•Device: Set to FTP (as shown in previous instructions).

•Mode: Set the mode to Once (one time backup only) or Daily (data backup occurs every day at the time specified in the Start Time setting).

•Start Time: Set a time to begin the backup process.

•From: Set the starting time for the data archive.

•To: Set the ending time for the data archive.

For example, to back-up a retail sales day, set the ‘From’ time to 7am, and the ‘To’ time to 10pm. Start the backup at 10:30pm.This will archive 15 hours worth of data to the FTP site.
