CHAPTER 4: USER INTERFACE REFERENCE

Known Galileos List:

The main body of the Galileos page is dedicated to a list of known Galileo units.

Remove

Removes a disconnected Galileo from the list.

Order

Moves the associated Galileo up or down the list.

Link

Selects a Galileo for inclusion in global Galileo linking. Linked units are also indicated by a colored bar above their tab.

See Global Galileo Select-Linking Mode (p. 78) for configuration details regarding the behavior of globally linked Galileos.

ID

Selects the global link group for the Galileo. Up to eight global groups may be defined.

IP Address/Galileo Nickname/Tab Name/Ver./Status

Shows information about the Galileo unit.

Connection

Select Refresh to determine whether Compass can connect to the Galileo unit.

Select Connect to connect to the Galileo.

Select Disconnect to disconnect the Galileo from Compass.

Virtual

Select Use Virtual to simulate connection to the Galileo using Virtual Galileo. Select this when you wish to work on a project without having a working physical connection to a real Galileo 616. Settings on a connected Virtual Galileo can always be transferred to a physical Galileo using the Snapshot/Project window.

Meters

Select Demo prior to connecting a Galileo to show a meter simulation on various UI meters.

Tab

Select Hide to hide a disconnected Galileo from the tabs list at the top of the window.
