CHAPTER 3: USING COMPASS TOOLS

Subwoofer Filtering

Each output channel may be assigned a low or high pass filter. There are three filter choices available:

Figure 3.1. Low Pass

Figure 3.2. 2nd Order High Pass

Figure 3.3. Elliptical High Pass

Using Low Pass Filtering

Low pass filtering is easily applied to a channel:

1.Select the [Galileo Unit] > Output Processing > Channel Settings page.

2.In the selection box beside the Freq control, select Low Pass.

3.Using the Freq control or the High/Low Pass Response handle, set the knee frequency.

Using High Pass Filtering

1.Select the [Galileo Unit] > Output Processing > Channel Settings page.

2.In the selection box beside the Freq control, select:

2nd Order High Pass: provides a linear drop-off.

Elliptical High Pass: provides an exponential drop-off.

3.Using the Freq control or the High/Low Pass Response handle, set the knee frequency.

Delay
