Private Calls, Call Alerts, and Group Calls

Make a call by entering a contact name

1On the Home screen, begin entering the contact name.

2When you see the contact name, scroll to it and then press and hold the PTT button.

3Begin talking after your Smartphone emits a chirping sound.

4Release the PTT button to listen.

5To end the call:

Wait a few seconds for the call to end automatically.

Press eor press m.

Making a Private Call from Contacts

You can make a Private call from your contact list or from an open contact. If a contact contains a Private ID, you can make a Private call to that number even if the contact list abbreviation for the Private ID (PTT) is not showing.

Make a call from the contact list

1On the Home screen, select Start.

2Select Contacts.

3Scroll to the contact to call.

4Press and hold the PTT button.

5Begin talking after your Smartphone emits a chirping sound.

6Release the PTT button to listen.

7To end the call:

Wait a few seconds for the call to end automatically.

Press eor press m.

Tip: If you have a long list of contacts, and you don’t see the contact you want, enter the first few letters of the contact’s name. When you do this, the Smartphone searches through the contact list and displays the name.

1On the Home screen, select Start.

2Select Contacts.

3Select the contact to call.

4Press and hold the PTT button.

5Begin talking after your Smartphone emits a chirping sound.

6Release the PTT button to listen.

7To end the call:
