Erase Database
Indexes Typically, it will only be necessary to use Erase Database Indexes option on the
Database Administration menu when the database has become corrupted. When
the indices are erased, the Build Database Indices option is required to re-make
the indices.
Step 1: From the Database Administration menu (Figure 9-2), press the ’E’ key
and press Enter. The Erase Database Indices screen (Figure 9-6) will be
displayed.

Step 2: The display will show the status of the erase database indices process.
When the erase is complete, press Enter.
Note: It is necessary to re-build the database indices before using the database. Use the
Build Database Indices function described in this chapter.
