Autofocus Mode

Rotate the mode dial to A, B, C, D, E, For NMdbutton MA, B, Cor Dtab (A10) MAutofocus mode

Choose how the camera focuses.

Option

Description

Single AF

The camera focuses only when the shutter-release button is

The camera focuses continuously until the shutter-release button

BFull-time AF is pressed halfway. Use with moving subjects. A sound will be heard while the camera focuses.

Some features cannot be used in combination with other menu settings. See “Features Not Available in Combination“ (A79) for more information.

CAutofocus Mode for Movie Recording

Autofocus mode for movie recording can be set with Autofocus mode (E59) in the movie menu or movie custom setting menu.

Flash Exp. Comp.

Rotate the mode dial to A, B, C, D, E, For NMdbutton MA, B, Cor Dtab (A10) MFlash exp. comp.

Flash exp. comp. option is used to adjust the flash output.

Use this option when the flash is too bright or too dark.

Description

+0.3 to +2.0

The flash output is increased from +0.3 to +2.0 EV, in increments of 1/3

EV, to make the main subject of the frame appear brighter.

 

 

 

0.0 (default

The flash output is not adjusted.

The flash output is reduced from –0.3 to –2.0 EV, in increments of 1/3

EV, to prevent unwanted highlights or reflections.

 

 

 

The icon for the current setting other than 0.0 is displayed on the monitor (A12).

When flash exposure compensation has been set on the optional flash unit the compensation values on the camera and the Speedlight are added.
