5.3.3Service Providers pages

The Service Providers page can be used to set authentication for ATM VCCs with PPP encapsulation (Figure 5-3). You can set the Authentication method and the corresponding Username and Password. You can also view Network connection information in the bottom of the page. If you are using PPTP encapsulation, you can change the name of the connection through the Service Providers page (Figure 5-4). The name can be used in your PPTP client for tunnel configuration, see section 2.2.7 Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol.

M1112 ADSL technology is based on Discrete Multitone DMT modulation allowing a maximum of 8 Mbit/s data transmission from the network and 800 kbit/s towards the network. However, these figures illustrate the maximum performance of the technology and are subjected to the physical line conditions and the distance from you to the central office. M1112 is capable of adapting to the physical line conditions and guarantees the maximum transmission rate possible on the particular line. M1112 adapts its speed to the line conditions in steps of 32 kbit/s. In addition to these physical limitations affecting your data throughput, your Internet Service Provider ISP may limit your access according to their service provisioning policy and based on your
