i2022 ISDN Teleset

1.If the S Interface Jack is not used and the i2022 is the only device, set the Terminating Resistor switches to 50Ω.

2.If there is a device connected to the S Interface, set the Terminating Resistor switches to 100Ω.

3.If the S Interface Jack is not used and the i2022 is the only device, set the Timing Switch to Adaptive.

4.If there is a device connected to the S Interface, and if the distance between the U Interface Module and the point at which the device is connected is minimum, set the U Interface Module for FIXED Timing.

5.If there is a device connected to the S Interface, and if the distance between the U Interface Module and the point at which the device is connected is great, set the U Interface Module for Adaptive Timing.

NOTE: Always terminate both ends of the bus. In other words, the terminating resistors should be set to on in the U Interface Module and at the furthest device from the U Interface Module. All other terminating resistors should be set to off.

NOTE: The timing option controls the ability of the U Interface Module to determine the echo from the far end. Since the passive bus can take on many forms the user may find one timing option works better than the other.
