Hardware ID | Do not change the information in the first or last box in the Hardware ID field. |
| The middle box contains the MAC address for the Ethernet card installed in your computer. |
| The i2050 Software Phone uses the MAC address of the computer as its hardware ID. You may |
| have to change this value if there is more than one Ethernet card in the PC or if the PC is using an |
| extranet client which hides the true MAC address. For example, Nortel Networks Contivity |
| Extranet Switch uses a single MAC address for all clients. This can potentially cause connection |
| issues with your communications server. |
