176 Alternative Call Routing for Network Bandwidth Management

Network Routing Service (NRS)

Both the main ofﬁce and branch ofﬁce must be registered on the Nortel NRS

for tandem routing to work for main ofﬁce to branchofﬁce tandeming.

Trunk Route Optimization (TRO)

Disable TrunkRoute Optimization between the branch ofﬁce (or SRG) and

the main ofﬁce in order to allow the tandeming required for the feature to

work.

Virtual Ofﬁce

It is not possible to determine the real Bandwidth Zone of a telephone

logged in as a Virtual Ofﬁce telephone.

Feature packaging

The Alternative Call Routing for NBWM feature requires the following

software package:

•Coordinated Dialing Plan (CDP) package 59

The following software package is optional:

•Flexible Numbering Plan (FNP) package 160

Command Description

ENL ZALT <zone>

Enable Alternative Call Routing for NBWM, where:

<zone> Input zone number (0-255).

Configure the branch office zone using LD 117 at the main

office.
