Hands-free Recording

The recorder can be used as a hands-free recording device. To setup the recorder for hands- free operation, connect the optional Olympus foot switch (RS25/26) to the back of the cradle and place the recorder in the cradle as shown in the diagram below.

The default settings of the foot switch functions are as follow:

• The Olympus foot switch (RS25/26) is sold separately.

• Move the slide switch of the recorder to the STOP position before connecting it to the cradle for hands-free recording.

Recording Monitor

It is possible to monitor your recording by listening to the recording while recording is in progress. Insert the earphone plug into the earphone jack and use the VOLUME button to control the volume level.
