Setting the luminance level for images

Adjusting the black luminance level ([Master Pedestal Level])

Applicable modes:

You can adjust black, which serves as the reference for images in Creative Video Mode, in 31 steps. Acting as the reference for luminance signals, black is called the master pedestal. By adjusting the range defined as black, not only can you adjust the way black appears, but also the luminance balance of the entire image.

This function is available only when the camera is set to Creative Video Mode.
