DLNA functions
You can enjoy the video and pictures saved on
the HDD of this unit on DLNA (Client) compatible
equipment connected via a network.
• The titles with access restriction (e.g., copy
restriction) signals sent from broadcasters are
not available for this function.
• You cannot play back music from the playback
equipment (Client).
For details regarding the connection and
operation of equipment connected via a network,
refer to their respective operating instructions.
Preparation
• Network connection (>15)
• Perform Home Network settings of the DLNA
compatible equipment.
• To activate the DLNA Server Function and to
register the devices, make the following
settings:
- Home Network ( DLNA ) Settings (>76)
- Server ( DLNA ) Settings (>76)
1Operate the playback equipment (Client) to
display the list of titles on this unit.
• Refer to their respective operating
instructions.
2Select the item, then press [OK]
• You cannot play back the titles on other DLNA compatible
equipment from this unit.
• Some video cannot be played back depending on the
equipment, the condition of this unit, or the file type.
• Ensure that the router for your home network has adequate
security system to prevent unauthorized access.
• The DLNA compatible device that is to be connected to the
unit should be connected to the same hub or broadband
router as the unit.
• Files not on the HDD cannot be played back.
• Editing is not possible.
