Operating Instructions

3.3External I/O

The external I/O terminal can be used to connect an external input device (such as a door sensor or motion sensor) and an external output device (such as a light). By connecting an external sensor to the External I/O, the camera can buffer/ transfer images by alarm when there is a sensor detection (page 91). If the alarm position has been registered (page 26), you can set the camera to aim the lens to the alarm position when the alarm is triggered.

An external output device can be controlled by pressing the Output Control buttons on the operation bar. The signal type sent to the device from the camera to the external device can be set by clicking [External Output] on the Setup page (page 106).

Explanation of the External I/O

Pin

Features

1

GND pin

2

DC Power Output Terminal

10.5—13.5 V DC

• Maximum of 100 mA load drive is possible.

3

External Sensor Input

• Use it by opening or GND short-circuit.

4

External Device Control Output

• You can control it on the External Output page (see page 106).

• It is an open collector circuit, and the maximum drawing-in current

is the same as pin 4. Do not exceed the voltage of DC power

output terminal (pin 4).

Note

The External I/O (Input/Output) are independent. Output terminal is controlled only by External Output Control page on page 106.
