Alarm Input/Output (ALARM IN/OUT)

Move the cursor to ALARM IN/OUT, and press the CAM (SET) key. The ALARM IN/OUT submenu appears.

Note: While the camera is in the AF mode or the lens moves between WIDE and TELE, alarm input may be ignored if several alarm inputs are received in succession.

ALARM IN 1-4

Alarm input signals are supplied from external devices through the ALARM IN connector to turn the camera to a preset position.

1.Move the cursor to ALARM IN 1* and select a preset position or OFF by moving the joystick, then press the CAM (SET) key.

The factory default setting is OFF.

*Set ALARM IN 2, 3 and 4 in the same way as ALARM IN 1.

1POSI, 2 POSI, 3 POSI and 4 POSI: Preset position. If an alarm input is received, the camera turns to a preset position, and sends an alarm output signal. The position number corre-

sponds to the alarm input numbers (1-1, 2-2, 3-3 and 4-4). B/W: Available for ALARM INPUT 4 only. The camera changes its

mode from color to black and white if ALARM IN 4 is sup- plied.

OFF: The camera ignores alarm inputs.

Note: If two or more alarm inputs are received while the camera is moving to a preset position, the camera starts to aim at preset positions in small preset numerical order after current posi- tioning.
