1.Load a pre-recorded tape. (If the erasure prevention tab has been removed, the VCR automatically begins play- back mode.)

2.Press the REC/PLAY MODE buttons (+ or -) to select the desired playback mode.

A tape recorded in 2H mode cannot be played back in 6H, L18H, 72H, or 96H.

A tape recorded in 6H, L18H, 72H, or 96H mode cannot be played back in 2H mode.

3.Set the VIDEO switch to either COLOR or B/W according to the type of video signal to be played back. When B/W is set, color recordings are played in black and white.

4.Press the PLAY button to start playback.

5.Press the STOP button to halt playback.

Turn the SHUTTLE ring to the left to rewind the tape when the VCR is in stop mode.

Turn the SHUTTLE ring to the right to fast forward the tape when the VCR is in the stop mode.

9.1.1Playback Mode

Pressing the REC/PLAY MODE button switches playback mode in the following order: 6H, L18H, 72H, 96H, 6H (when recorded in these modes).

If the recording was made in 2H mode, pressing the REC/PLAY MODE button does not switch the playback mode.
