Automatic recording from a satellite
receiver (Sat recording)
You can use this function if you own a satellite receiver that can control other devices via a
scart cable and a programming function (timer). For more information, please see the operating
instructions for the satellite receiver.
1Switch on the TV set. If required, select the programme number for
the DVD recorder.
2Press SYSTEM-MENUon the remote control. The menu bar
appears.
3Select 'A' symbol with Dor C.
4Select 'Record settings' using CH- Bor CH+ Aand confirm with
C.
5Select 'Sat record' using CH-Bor CH+ A.
6Select 'EXT2' with Dor C.
Switching off 'Sat Recording'
To switch off the function, select 'Off' using Cor D.Tip
7Confirm with OK.
8Use a scart cable to connect scart socket EXT 2 AUX-I/Oon the
DVD recorder to the corresponding scart socket on the satellite
receiver.
9To end, press SYSTEM-MENU.
0Insert a disc you want to use for recording.
AProgramme the satellite receiver with the required information
(programme number of the TV channel, start time, end time).
If necessary, please see the operating instructions for your satellite
receiver.
BSwitch off the DVD recorder using STANDBYm.'SAT' also
appears in the display to indicate that the function is active.
The DVD recorder is now ready to record. The start and end of the recording is controlledvia
scart cable EXT 2 AUX-I/O .
