1 PressNUMBER to select the desired

menuoption.

Whena Video CD featuring the PBC (playback

control)function starts playing, a menu is dis-

played.

!Playbackstarts from the selected menu

item.

!Whenthe menu is two or more pages long,

pressoor pto switch between dis-

plays.

#Youcan display the menu by pressing

RETURNduring PBC playback. For details, refer

tothe instructions provided with the disc.

#PBCplayback of Video CD cannot be can-

celled.

#Operationwith the joystick is not possible.

2 Toperform fast forward or reverse,

pressand hold mor n.

#Ifyou continue pressing mor nfor five

seconds,the icon mor nis highlighted.

Whenthis happens, fast reverse/fast forward con-

tinueseven if you release mor n. To resume

playbackat a desired point, press f.

#Fastforward/fast reverse may not be possible

atcertain locations on some discs. If this hap-

pens,normal playback automatically resumes.

3 Toskip back or forward to another

track,press oor p.

Pressingpskips to the start of the next

track.Pressing oonce skips to the start of

thecurrent track. Pressing again will skip to

theprevious track.

Tracknumbers are displayed for eight sec-

onds.

#UsingNUMBER also performs the same op-

eration.For more details, refer to Specifying track

onthis page.

4 Tostop playback, press g.

#Whenyou stop Video CD playback by pressing

g,that location on the disc is memorized en-

ablingplayback from that point when you play

thedisc again.

#Toresume playback, press f.

#Ifthe remote control is set to DVH,gdoes

notoperate.

Toperform this function, set the remote con-

trolto DVD mode.

!Youcannot operate this function by using

NUMBERwhen the remote control is set to

DVHmode.

%PressNUMBER corresponding to a de-

siredtrack.

Tracknumber is displayed for eight seconds

andplayback starts from the selected track.

!Toselect 3, press 3.

!Toselect 10, press 10 and 0in that order.

!Toselect 23, press 10,10 and 3in that

order.
