3When you find the desired track (or

folder) press bto turn scan play off.

# If the display has automatically returned to the playback display, select SCAN again by press-

ing FUNCTION.

# After scanning of a disc (folder) is finished, normal playback of the tracks will begin again.

Pausing disc playback

1Press FUNCTION to select PAUSE.

2Press ato turn pause on.

Playback of the current track pauses.

# To turn pause off, press b.

Selecting tracks from the list

When the separately sold display is connected to this unit, the listed information will appear on it.

For CD TEXT discs

!You can also display the track name list by clicking the joystick. Tracks can also be se- lected by using the joystick. Refer to Select- ing tracks from the track title list on page 38.

1Press FUNCTION to select the track title list. Press FUNCTION until the track title list ap- pears in the display.

2Press aor bto scroll through the list of track titles.

3Press dto select the desired track title. When you select a track, the selection will begin to play.

4Press DISPLAY to return to the ordinary dis- play.

For WMA/MP3/AAC discs

!You can also display the list of files (or folders) by clicking the joystick. File can also be selected by using the joystick. Refer to Selecting tracks from the file name list on page 38.

1Press FUNCTION to select a file name list. Press FUNCTION until the names of files or folders appears in the display.

2Press aor bto scroll through the list of file names (or folder names).

3Press dto select the desired file name (or folder name).

When you select a file, the selection will begin to play.

When you select a folder, a list of files (or folders) in the selected folder appears in the display.

!To return to the previous list (the folder one level higher), press c.

4Press DISPLAY to return to the ordinary dis- play.

Searching every 10 tracks in the current disc or folder

You can switch the search method between fast forward/reverse and searching every 10 tracks. Selecting ROUGH enables you to search every 10 tracks.

1Press FUNCTION to select SCH.

2Press dto select ROUGH.

!FF/REV – Fast forward and reverse

!ROUGH – Searching every 10 tracks

# To select FF/REV, press c.

3Press BAND to return to the playback display.

4Press and hold cor dto search every

10tracks on a disc (folder).

# If the rest of track number is less than 10, press and hold cor drecalls the first (last) one.

Using compression

Using the COMP (compression) function let you adjust the sound quality of disc.
