Using the high pass filter

When you do not want low sounds from the subwoofer output frequency range to play from the front or rear speakers, turn on the HPF (high pass filter). Only frequencies higher than those in the selected range are outputted from the front or rear speakers.

1Press AUDIO to select HPF.

2Press ato turn high pass filter on. HPF 80HZ appears in the display. High pass

filter is now on.

# If the high pass filter has been previously ad- justed, the frequency of that previously selected

will be displayed instead of HPF 80HZ.

# To turn high pass filter off, press b.

3Press cor dto select cut-off frequency. 50Hz—63Hz—80Hz—100Hz—125Hz

Only frequencies higher than those in the se- lected range are outputted from the front or rear speakers.

Adjusting source levels

SLA (source level adjustment) lets you adjust the volume level of each source to prevent ra- dical changes in volume when switching be- tween sources.

!Settings are based on the FM volume level, which remains unchanged.

1Compare the FM volume level with the level of the source you wish to adjust.

2Press AUDIO to select SLA.

3Press aor bto adjust the source vo- lume.

SLA +4 to SLA –4 is displayed as the source volume is increased or decreased.

!The MW/LW volume level can also be adjusted

!with source level adjustments.Operating Video CD, CD, compressed audio and DivX

are set to the same source level adjustment volume automatically.

!External unit 1 and external unit 2 are set to

the same source level adjustment volume this automatically.
