Introductionof DVD setup

Youcan use this menu to change audio, subti-
tle,parental lock and other DVD settings. This
menucan be operated only by using the re-
motecontrol.
!Toperform this function, set the remote
controlto DVD mode.

Showsthe DVD setup menu names.
1 Pressg.
2 PressMENU when the disc is stopped.
TheDVD setup menu is displayed.
3 Movethe joystick up or down to dis-
playthe DVD setup function names.
Movethe joystick up or down to switch the fol-
lowingDVD setup functions:
S.TTLLANG (subtitle language settings)
AUDIOLANG (audio language settings)
MENULANG (menu language settings)
ASSIST(assist subtitle)ANGLE (angle icon)
TVASPECT (TV aspect)PARENTAL (paren-
tallock)DIVX VOD (DivX VOD)
DIVXS.TTL (DivX subtitle)DIGI OUT (digital
outputsetting)
Note
Ifyou press MENU during display of a DVD setup
menu,the DVD setup menu is canceled and the
unitreturns to the previous display.

Setting the subtitle language

Youcan set a desired subtitle language. If the
selectedsubtitle language is recorded on the
DVD,subtitles are displayed in that language.
1 Movethe joystick up or down to select
S.TTLLANG.
2 Clickthe joystick.
Asubtitle language menu is displayed.
3 Movethe joystick left or right to select
thedesired language.
4 Clickthe joystick.
Asubtitle language is set.
Notes
!Ifthe selected language is not recorded on
thedisc, the language specified on the disc is
displayed.
!Youcan also switch the subtitle language dur-
ingplayback with SUBTITLE. (Refer to Chan-
gingthe subtitle language during playback
(Multi-subtitle)on page 22.)
!Evenif you use SUBTITLE to switch the subti-
tlelanguage, this does not affect the settings
here.
!PressingRETURN takes you back to the pre-
viousdisplay.

Whenyou select OTHERS

Whenyou select OTHERS, a language code
inputdisplay is shown. Refer to Language code
chartfor DVD on page 90, use the number but-
tonsto input the four digit code of the desired
language,and then move the joystick right.
Note
PressingCLEAR cancels the input numbers.
