conditioneror heater may prevent correct auto

TAand EQ.

#PressSOURCE to turn the source on if this

unitis turned off.

4 Selectthe position for the seat on

whichthe microphone is placed.

#Ifno position is selected before you start auto

TAand EQ, FRT-L is selected automatically.

5 PressSOURCE and hold until the unit

turnsoff.

6 Pressand hold EQ to enter the autoTA

andEQ measurement mode.

7 Plugthe microphone into the micro-

phoneinput jack on the multi-channel pro-

cessor.

8 Pressato start the auto TA and EQ.

9 Getout of the car and close the door

within10 seconds when the 10-second

count-downstarts.

Themeasurement tone (noise) is outputted

fromthe speakers, and auto TA and EQ be-

gins.

#Whenall speakers are connected, auto TA

andEQ is completed in about nine minutes.

#Tostop auto TA and EQ, press any keys.

#Tocancel auto TA and EQ part way through,

pressBAND.

10 Whenauto TA and EQ is completed,

COMPLETEis displayed.

Whencorrect measurement of car interior

acousticcharacteristics is not possible, an

errormessage is displayed. (Refer to Under-

standingauto TA and EQ error messages on

page84.)

11 PressBAND to cancel theauto TA and

EQmode.
