RCAUTION:

•The fusing section of this machine might be very hot. Caution should be tak- en when removing misfed paper.

Important

❒When clearing misfeeds, do not turn off the operation switch. If you do, your copy settings will be lost.

❒To prevent misfeeds, do not leave any torn scraps of paper inside the ma- chine.

❒If paper misfeeds occur frequently, contact your service representative.

❒More than one misfed area may be indicated. When this happens, check all the areas indicated. See the following charts:

❒ Inside the finisher, or inside the front cover, there is a sticker explaining how	6
to remove misfed paper.

❖If paper is stuck to the printer's right side heat roller

When you open the internal cover of the duplex unit (right side of the ma- chine), you can see the holes in the upper surface of the development unit (the part with the warning label). Normally, from here you will be able to see the orange heat roller. If you can see paper in this area, contact your service rep- resentative.
