Q6 The 1280 x 768 resolution does not appear in the Resolution Settings menu.

AThis may happen when the operating system was installed. It happens because the Monitor Type is set to ‘Digital Flat Panel’ in the Device Manager. Therefore, change the monitor type as follows.

1.Right-click on ‘My Computer’ on the Desktop and select ‘Properties’.

2.Select the ‘Hardware’ tab and click the ‘Device Manager’ button.

3.Double click the ‘Monitors’ item.

4.Right-click on ‘Digital Flat Panel (1024x768)’ and select ‘Update Driver’ from the pop-up menu.

5.In the ‘Welcome to the Hardware Update Wizard' window, select ‘No, not this timeí and click 'Next'.

6.Select ‘Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)’ and click 'Next'.

7.‘Don’t search. I’ll choose the driver to install’ and click 'Next'.

8.Select ‘Show compatible hardware’, select ‘Plug & Play Monitor’ from the list and then click 'Next’.

9.When the installation is complete, click ‘Finish’.

10.Right-click on the Desktop and select ‘Graphics Properties’ from the pop-up menu.

11.Select ‘Display Settings’ in the left menu and change the screen resolution.
