Setting Abbreviated Dialing

Abbreviated Dialing is another form of speed dialing. If the last four digits you enter using abbreviated dialing do not match any stored phone book entry, the digits are automatically prepended with the digits specified using the following steps.

To activate this feature:

1.Press to access the main menu.

2.Highlight Settings and press .

3.Highlight Others and press .

4.Highlight Abbrev. Dial and press .

5.Highlight Enable and press .

6.Enter a six-digit number (area code and prefix) and press or OK (left softkey).

To deactivate this feature, highlight Disable during step 5 above.

Tip: If you enter fewer than 6 digits, the display shows a warning message. See page 24 for using this feature.

Headset Mode

This feature enables hands-free phone use. Set the headset mode to Voice Call or PCS Ready Link, and press the Turbo Button to activate useful functions.

To set headset mode:

1.Press to access the main menu.

2.Highlight Settings and press .

3.Highlight Others and press .

4.Highlight Headset Mode and press .

5.Select Voice Call or Ready Link and press .

Press Info. (right softkey) during step 5 above to see the headset mode information.

To deactivate this feature, select Off during step 5 above.
