Selecting a Tone Length

Longer tone lengths may be better for tone recognition when dialing voicemail or other automated systems.

To select a tone length:

1.Press to access the main menu.

2.Highlight Settings and press .

3.Highlight Sounds and press .

4.Highlight Others and press .

5.Select the menu under Tone Length and press .

6.Highlight Short or Long and press .

Setting a Start-up/Power-off Tone

You can select the tones you hear when turning your phone on and off. To set your phone’s Start-up/Power-off tones:

1.Follow steps 1 to 4 above.

2.Select the menu under Start-up Tone or Power-off Tone and

press .

3.Highlight your desired option and press .

Get New to start up the browser so you can select an item to download. (See page 102.)

Tip: You can set the volume of Start-up Tone and Power-off Tone. See next page for instructions.

Using Voice Prompts

This feature allows you to hear voice prompts at Voice Memo, Screen Call setting, Voice Dial, etc. (Default setting is On.)

To deactivate this feature:

1.Press to access the main menu.

2.Highlight Settings and press .

3.Highlight Sounds and press .

4.Highlight Others and press .

5.Select the menu under Voice Prompt and press .

6.Highlight Off and press .

Tip: When ringer volume is set to “Silence All,” voice prompts cannot be heard.
