PS/2 socket for connecting a PS/2 mouse.
2COM 1/Modem/Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
The COM 1 (TTY) interface can be used to connect e.g. S5 PLCs. By implementing the adapter supplied, the interface can also be used as a 25- pin V.24 standard interface to connect devices with a serial interface, such as modem, mouse or printer.
3COM 2
Serial interface 2 (V.24) to connect devices with a serial interface, such as modem, mouse or printer.
4AC/DC power supply connection
Device socket for AC voltage power supply or screw terminals for DC voltage power supply.
5PCI expansion slot
Internal slot for PCI expansion modules.
6PCI/ISA expansion slot
Internal slot for expansion modules.
7ISA slot
Internal slot for ISA expansion modules.
8PC card (Panel PC 670 only)
Connection for PC cards of the type I/II/III.
9Ethernet
RJ 45 Ethernet connection. The Ethernet network is a local network with a bus structure for data communication with data transmission rates of 10 or 100 Mbps.
10PROFIBUS/MPI
Using the potential isolated PROFIBUS/MPI interface, the Panel
PC 670/870 can be connected to an S7 PLC or a PROFIBUS network.
11USB
2 connections for Universal Serial Bus. Using the USB connection, it is possible to connect external devices, such as CD drives, printers, modems or mouse and keyboard. Also refer to Chapter 2.7.
12VGA
A VGA monitor can be connected here.
