About the supplied SonicStage for Sony Net MDs
SonicStage for Sony Net MDs is a software application that utilizes Sony Corporation’s copyright protection technology, “OpenMG”. It allows users to store and play digital music content on the hard disk drive of a computer, and to transfer digital audio files from the hard drive to an MD (check out) for portable listening.

Note
Be sure to install the SonicStage for Sony Net MDs software to your computer before connecting the system to your computer. If you are reinstalling the software, be sure to disconnect the USB cable before starting the installation.
Notes
•While the Net MD function is on, you cannot change the sound source nor operate the system except for ejecting the MD with Z MD.
•You cannot use the Net MD function while the timer is on.
•When “Check USB” appears in the display, check the USB connection of the system and the personal computer.
•“CONNECT” appears in the display while you are
•While the Net MD function is on, the following functions are cancelled or the settings are cleared:
–Repeat Play, Shuffle Play, Program Play
–Group function
•When playing back these MDs on a system that does not support MDLP mode, set the transfer mode during SonicStage
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly to switch the function to MD.
2 Press NET MD on the MD deck.
The Net MD function is activated and “Net MD” appears.
3 Start up and operate SonicStage for Sony Net MDs on the personal computer.

5 Press NET MD on the MD deck to turn off the Net MD function.
