Warning indicators and messages

If indicators and messages appear in the viewfinder, on the LCD screen or in the display window, check the following:

Warning indicators

The video heads are dirty

Slow flashing:

•You need to clean the heads using the Sony V8-25CLD cleaning cassette (not supplied) (p. 101).

The battery is dead or nearly dead

Slow flashing:

•The battery is nearly dead.

Fast flashing:
•The battery is dead (p. 14).
•The battery is completely dead, and		Self-diagnosis display (p. 92)
cannot be recharged.
Depending on conditions, the E

Warning messages

• CLOCK SET	Reset the date and time (p. 82).
• For “InfoLITHIUM”	Use an “InfoLITHIUM” battery pack (p. 18).
BATTERY ONLY
• CLEANING CASSETTE	The video heads are dirty (p. 101).
• START/STOP KEY	Press the START/STOP button to activate the ORC setting. This
	message is displayed in white. (p. 74).
• ORC	The ORC setting is working. This message is displayed in white
	(p. 74).
