2Pass the fastener through the ferrite core.

3Loop the fastener around the cable and lock it. Use scissors to cut off any excess.

4Plug one end of the modular cable into the modular jack of the periph- eral.

5Remove the modular jack cover from the back of the printer and plug the other end of the modular cable into the jack of the printer.
