A. SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS FOR THE HEATING SYSTEM

Standby (At any time the oil

valve is not energized)

Start

Control System Action

Continous safe operation check. If flame simulation condition present, system shuts off oil valve,ignitor, and burner motor; activates fast flashing LED.

Thermostat calls for heat,

contacts close

Ignition electrodes spark. Burner motor energized.

Oil valve energized after 15 second time delay.

On power interruption, system shuts off, restarts when power is restored.

Start trial for ignition

Flame must be detected

after 45 seconds.

If flame is not detected, the oil valve is de-energized, the ignitor is turned off and the ignition control module goes into the "retry" sequence.

The retry sequence provides a 60 second wait before ignition is attempted again.
