94 Setting General Functions

Setting the calibration
This function automatically calibrates the color gradation of the machine. You can use this function when the shading and
hue cannot be reproduced accurately because of the following reasons:
yFor color models: When the shading of the image is not appropriate, or when the hue has deviated in copy and printing
jobs
yFor monochromatic models: When the shading of the copied image is not appropriate
yThe calibration setting in the ADMIN menu can be performed only when an administrator has set the Calibration
Display Level to [ADMIN].

yPlace LT or A4 paper (recommended paper) in the drawer*1 before starting the calibration. If any other paper is
used, calibration may not be performed properly.
yIf the glass is dirty or any foreign objects are stuck to it, calibration may not be performed properly. Keep the glass
clean.
yNever raise the original cover or the Reversing Automatic Document Feeder*2, or open the front cover while the
calibration is in progress. If this does happen, calibration cannot be finished properly.
yInterrupt copying is not available during the calibration.
yIf the color often deviates, call your service technician.
