Hardware, Utilities and Options

Options

You can add a number of options to make your computer even more powerful and convenient to use. The following options are available:

Memory expansion

Two memory expansion slots are available for

 

installing PC2-6400, PC3-8500 1 GB, 2 GB or

 

4 GB memory modules of all models.

 

Maximum size of memory can be installed on

 

Mobile Intel® GL40 Express Chipset models

 

is 4 GB.

 

Maximum system memory size and speed

 

are depending on the model you purchased.

 

 

Battery Pack

An additional battery pack 3 cell type and 6 cell

 

type can be purchased from your TOSHIBA

 

dealer. The battery pack is identical to the one

 

that came with your computer. Use it as a spare

 

or replacement.

 

 

AC adaptor

If you use your computer at more than one site, it

 

may be convenient to purchase an additional AC

 

adaptor for each site so you will not have to carry

 

the adaptor with you.

 

 

USB FDD kit

The USB floppy disk drive accommodates either

 

a 1.44 MB or 720 KB floppy disk through

 

connection to one of the computer’s USB ports.

 

In use, please be aware that, while you cannot

 

format 720 KB floppy disks under Windows 7,

 

you are able to read and write to disks that have

 

already been formatted.

 

 

Security lock

A slot is available to attach a security cable to the

 

computer to deter theft.

 

 

Optional Devices

Optional devices can expand the computer’s capabilities and its versatility. The following optional devices are available from your TOSHIBA dealer:

Cards/Memory

Memory cards: Secure Digital (SD), Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC), Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) and MultiMediaCard (MMC)
