There are two ways of switching between the photography and playback modes.

Using the lens cover

Each time the lens cover is opened or closed, the photography and playback modes are

switched.

Using the mode button

Each time the mode button is pressed, the photography and playback modes are

switched.

Note

•With a USB cable connected to the camera, you cannot switch between the photography

and playback modes using the lens cover or the mode button.

Insert the SD card in the correct orientation shown. Close the battery/SD card cover. Closing the lens cover Slightly slide the lens cover in the arrow direction. Setting the Date and Time Tap the [ ] key. Tap the item to be set. Select the item, then tap the [ ] or [ ] icon. Use the LCD monitor to compose the picture. Press the shutter button down halfway 1. From the half-pressed position, fully press the shutter button down Switching between Display and Non-display of the Display Screen The Display shows the current photography mode settings. Tap the [ ] key in the photography mode. File size per image The table provides you with references about the maximum number of images recordable on the SD card. Selecting the Scene Mode Details about the scene mode The Display screen appears. Tap the [ Tapping this restores the Display screen. Selecting the Flash Mode You can select a flash mode according to the situation. Press the shutter button down halfway, then press it down fully. Changing the Photography Menu Settings Tap the icon of the menu item to be changed. Tap the icon of the parameter to be selected. To cancel protection Pr otecting Images I n the playback mode select an image to be erased, then tap the [ ] key. Erasing Images Formatting the SD Card Tap the [ ] key. In the confirmation screen, tap the [ ] icon. With using Windows 98 While the PC and camera are on, connect the USB cable. Installing USB driver Connecting to a Macintosh Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. Connect the USB cable to the PC and this camera. Disconnecting the Camera from the PC With Windows 98 installed: With Windows 2000, ME or XP installed: With Macintosh installed: Using ACDSee TM Copying Photographed Images to the PC Connect this camera to the PC using a USB cable. Select an image to be copied, then click Copy in the Edit menu. Select a copy destination, then click Paste in the Edit menu. Copying Images to This Camera Connect this camera to the PC using a USB cable. Select an image to be copied, then select Copy to Camera. Select a post-conversion image size, then click OK.
