Basic Recording

Follow the steps below to record a TV programme. (See page 93 for VHS recording.)

1 Press [B ON\STANDBY] to turn on the unit.

Turn on the TV and be sure to select the input to which the unit is connected.

If you are recording to the HDD, press [HDD], then proceed to step 5.

If you are recording to a disc, press [DVD].

2 Press [OPEN\CLOSE A] to open the disc tray.

3 Place the disc on the disc tray with its label facing up. Be sure to align the disc with the disc tray guide.

4 Press [OPEN\CLOSE A] to close the disc tray.

5 Select the recording mode using [REC MODE]. (See page 37.)

6 Press [INPUT SELECT F] to select

DVB, analogue or external input mode, then select the desired channel to record using [PROG. G \ H] or

[the Number buttons].

7 Press [REC I] to start recording.

The “I HDD” or “I DVD” mark will be displayed on the TV screen briefly.

To pause the recording, press [PAUSE F]. Press [PAUSE F] or [REC I] again to restart the recording.

8 Press [STOP C] to stop the recording.

This operation may take a few moments to complete.

Hint
• You can change the channel while in the REC pause
mode.
Note
• Recording starts immediately and continues until the
disc is full or you stop recording.
• You cannot change the recording mode in the REC	Connections
or REC pause mode.
• Even if the broadcasting you are recording is in the
SECAM system, this unit automatically converts it to
the PAL system when recording.
• If the external equipment is connected to AV2, the
picture of the external equipment will be output
