From the main menu press “M” to continue with modem management.

7.2.3.4 Modem Management
This procedure describes the configuration that is required to initial- ize your XL-12000S. The purpose is to set the modem’s IP address, default gateway, and subnet mask. Prior to completing this proce- dure, you will only be able to access your modem using a serial con- sole connection. After you complete this procedure, you can access your system using Telnet or SNMP, in addition to the console port.
Access the Modem Management screen by pressing “M” from the Main Menu.
