To measure the amount of cold air being directed from the freezer compartment into the refrigerator section, hold your hand in front of the top vent. You can adjust the Freezer Control to feel the different amounts of airflow. (Also refer to the diagram in the “Ensuring proper air circulation section.”)

The ice dispenser

Ice dispenses from the ice maker storage bin in the freezer. When you press the dispenser lever, a trapdoor opens in a chute between the dispenser and the ice bin. Ice moves from the bin and falls through the chute. When you release the dispenser lever, the trap door closes and the ice dispensing stops. The dispensing system will not operate when the freezer door is open.
