Chapter 9 Firewall
The following table describes the labels in this screen.

LABEL | DESCRIPTION |
Active Firewall | Select this check box to enable the firewall on the |

| computer on the LAN. |

Active | Select this check box to enable the rule. |

Filter Name | This displays the name of the rule. |

Interfaces | This displays the WAN interface(s) to which this rule is applied. |
|
|
Protocol | This displays the transport layer protocol that defines the service to |
| which this rule applies. |
|
|
Source Address | This displays the source IP addresses and subnet mask to which this |
/ Mask | rule applies. Please note that a blank source address is equivalent to |
| Any. |
|
|
Source Port | This is the source port number. |
|
|
Dest. Address / | This displays the destination IP addresses and subnet mask to which |
Mask | this rule applies. Please note that a blank destination address is |
| equivalent to Any. |
|
|
Dest. Port | This is the destination port number. |
|
|
Modify | Click the Edit icon to go to the screen where you can edit the rule. |
| Click the Remove icon to delete an existing rule. Note that subsequent |
| rules move up by one when you take this action. |

Add | Click Add to create a new rule. |

|
Apply | Click Apply to save your changes back to the |
|
