MANTENIMIENTO

CAMBIO DE ACEITE DE MOTOR

Vea la figura 24.

nApague el motor.

nLimpie el área alrededor de la tapa del aceite/varilla de nivel de aceite y, luego, retire la tapa del aceite/varilla de nivel del aceite.

nIncline la lavadora a presión sobre el costado, como se muestra. Drene el aceite en un recipiente aprobado. NOTA: Drene el aceite mientras esté tibio el motor, no caliente. El aceite tibio se drena con mayor facilidad y compleción.

nDespués de que el cárter se drene por completo, vuelva a colocar la lavadora a presión en la posición vertical.

nLlene con lubricante siguiendo las instrucciones de la sección Agregado de lubricante al motor, que aparece más arriba en este manual.

NOTA: Consulte las normas de desecho de residuos peligrosos de la localidad donde se encuentre para averiguar la forma correcta de desechar el combustible usado.

LUBRICACIÓN DE LA BOMBA

La bomba de esta herramienta están lubricados con suficiente cantidad de aceite de alta calidad para toda la vida útil de la unidad en condiciones normales de funcionamiento. Por lo tanto, no se necesita lubricación adicional de los cojinetes.

GUARDADO DE LA LAVADORA DE PRESIÓN

Vea la figura 25.

Guarde la lavadora de presión con el tanque de gasolina vacío; para ello, mantenga encendida la máquina hasta agotar el combustible. Permita un período de enfriamiento de 30 minutos antes de guardar la máquina. Guarde la unidad en un lugar seco y cubierto, en el cual no pueda resultar dañada a la intemperie. Nunca almacene la unidad en una posición distinta de la vertical, sobre sus ruedas.

Es importante guardar este producto en un área protegida contra la congelación. Siempre vacíe todas las mangueras, la bomba, el tanque de combustible y el recipiente del de- tergente antes de guardar la unidad.

NOTA: Si utiliza un estabilizador de combustible y un protec- tor de bombas obtendrá un mejor desempeño de la bomba y aumentará la vida de servicio de la máquina.

Descarga de combustile:

Mantenga encendida la máquina hasta agotar el combustible. La gasolina puede echarse a perder en 30 días.

Aceite del motor:

Drene el aceite viejo y reemplácelo con aceite nuevo limpio.

Bujía:

nDesconecte el cable de la bujía y retire ésta. Vierta cerca de una cucharada chica de aceite limpio para motor de cuatro tiempos a través del agujero de la bujía, en el interior de la cámara de combustión.

nTeniendo la bujía afuera, tire de la cuerda del arrancador dos o tres veces para recubrir el interior de la pared del cilindro.

nInspeccione la bujía y límpiela o reemplácela según sea necesario.

nVuelva a instalar la bujía, pero deje desconectado el cable de la misma.

Filtro de aire:

nLimpie el filtro de aire.

Mangueras y bomba:

Lave interiormente la manguera de inyección con agua lim- pia durante uno o dos minutos. Retire las mangueras. Vacíe la bomba; para ello, tire del arrancador retráctil seis veces aproximadamente. De esta manera se elimina de la bomba la mayoría del líquido.

Mango:

nTire de la perilla de afloje del mango hacia afuera y baje el mango a la posición abajo.

PREPARACIÓN DE LA UNIDAD PARA USARLA DESPUÉS DE TENERLA GUARDADA

nTire del arrancador retráctil tres o cuatro veces para limpiar el aceite de la cámara de combustión.

nRetire la bujía del cilindro. Limpie el aceite de la bujía y vuelva a ponerla en el cilindro.

nVuelva a conectar el cable de la bujía.

nReabastezca de combustible la máquina de la forma descrita anteriormente en el manual del operador.
