9.5.4 Tone options

Setting key tone

You can select whether or not key tones are heard when keys are pressed. Includes confirmation tones and error tones.

1.Press $(centre of joystick).

2.Select t, then press ,.

3.Select Tone Option, then press ,.

4.Select Key Tone, then press ,.

5.Select On(default) or Off, then press

,.

6.Press {ih}.

Selecting the standby mode display

Base Number: The current base unit number is displayed.

Handset Name(default): The name of the cordless handset is displayed.

Off: Only the current date and time are displayed.

Selecting the talk mode display

You can change what is shown on the display when you make a call.

Talk Time(default): The length of the current call will be displayed.

Phone Number: The telephone number you dialled will be displayed.

1.Press $(centre of joystick).

4.Select Talk Display, then press ,.

5.Select the desired setting, then press ,.

6.Press {ih}.

Note:

LEven if you select Phone Number, the length of the call will appear on your display when you receive calls.

Changing the display language

1.Press $(centre of joystick).

2.Select t, then press ,.

3.Select Display Option, then press

4.Select Select Language, then press

5.Select the desired language, then press

6.Press {ih}.

Note:

LIf you select a language you cannot read, press {ih}, press $, push joystick down, press ,, push joystick down 4 times, press ,, push joystick down 2 times, press ,, select the desired language, then press ,.

Changing category private colours

You can select the ringer indicator colour used when calls are received from parties assigned to a category in the cordless handset phonebook. (for Caller ID service users only)

1.Press $(centre of joystick).

2.Select t, then press ,.

3.Select Display Option, then press

4.Select Private Colour, then press

,.

5.Select a category, then press ,.

6.Select a ringer indicator colour from

Green(default), Redor Orange.

L The ringer indicator flashes using the selected colour as a reference.

Changing category names

You can change the names of categories (Family, Friends, etc.) for the cordless handset phonebook.

1.Press $(centre of joystick).

2.Select t, then press ,.

3.Select Display Option, then press

4.Select Category Name, then press ,.

5.Select a category, then press ,.

6.Edit the name, up to 10 characters (see page 88 for instructions).
