2.5Battery installation / replacement

2.5.1 Installing the batteries

1Insert the batteries negative (−) terminal first.

2Close the battery cover.

2.5.2 Replacing the batteries

If 7flashes even when the batteries have been fully charged, both batteries must be replaced. Please use only Panasonic batteries. See page 11 for accessory information.

Important:

L Charge the new batteries for about 7 hours before initial use.

LWhen replacing the batteries, ensure that the correct battery type is selected (page 77) even if you install the same type of

batteries.

LUse only rechargeable batteries. If you install non-rechargeable batteries and

start charging, the batteries may leak electrolyte.

LDo not mix old and new batteries.

1Press the notch on the cover firmly and slide it in the direction of the arrow.

2Remove the batteries positive (+) terminal first. Replace both batteries. See the battery installation procedure.
