About This Manual

Instructions in this manual describe the controls on the remote. You can also use the controls on the player if they have the same or similar names as those on the remote.

Some DVD video discs have functions that may not be explained in this owner’s manual. Therefore, some instruc- tions may differ from this owner’s manual, and there may be extra instructions. In this case, follow the instructions dis- played on the LCD screen or package.

This icon means the function explained in this owner’s manual is not available on that specific DVD video disc.

Notes about the Discs

On handling discs

To keep the disc clean, handle the disc by its edge. Do not touch the surface.

Do not stick paper or tape on the disc.

On storing discs

Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or heat sources such as air ducts, or leave it in a car parked in direct sun- light as the temperature may rise considerably inside the car.

After playing, store the disc in its case.

On cleaning discs

Fingerprints or dust on a disc may cause the image or sound quality to deteriorate. Use clean discs.

Wipe the disc with a soft cloth from the center out.

If the disc is very dirty, first wipe it with a damp cloth, then wipe it again with a dry cloth.

Do not use solvents such as benzine, thinner, commer- cially, available cleaners, or anti-static spray intended for vinyl LPs.
