1 Choose the film type

Click the film-type menu in the scan win- dow control area and choose a film type that matches the film being scanned.

Option

Positive

Neg (Color)

Use with

Use with most makes of positive slides and reversal film. These films have a black film base, and the im- age in each frame appears in its actual colors.

Use with color film nega- tives. Color negatives can be identified by their or- ange-tinted film base and by the fact that the colors in the images are reversed.

Film type menu

Use with black-and-white Neg (Mono) negatives.

Use with Kodachrome Kodachrome positives.

2 Choose a color model

Click the color-model menu in the scan window control area and choose a color model according to how the image will be used.
