Switching to radio mode
If the device is in CD mode, cassette mode (depending on the version of the car radio) or CD changer/Compact Drive MP3 mode,
➮press the TUNER button <.
The main radio menu for tuning into a station is displayed. The
Convenient RDS functions (AF, REG)
The convenient RDS functions AF (Al- ternative Frequency) and REG (Region- al) extend your radio’s range of func- tions (only in FM radio mode).
●AF: The unit automatically search- es in the background for the fre- quency offering the best reception for the station that is currently tuned in.
●REG: At certain times, some radio stations divide their programme into regional programmes providing different content. You can use the REG function to prevent the car ra- dio from switching to alternative fre- quencies that are providing differ- ent regional programme content.
Note:
●REG must be separately activated/ deactivated in the radio functions menu.
Switching REG on/off
To use the RDS function REG,
➮press the TUNER button < in ra- dio mode.
The radio functions menu appears in the display.
➮Press the NEXT button 3.
➮Press the softkey 4 assigned to the “REG” display item.
“REG ON” or “REG OFF” appears brief- ly in the display.
➮Press the TUNER button < or the joystick OK 7.
The settings are saved.
Selecting static/dynamic radio mode (only FM)
You can choose between two modes for FM radio mode:
Static radio mode (“PRE” and “DDA”)
In static FM radio mode there are four memory banks (FM1, FM2, FM3 und FMT) at your disposal. You can store six stations in each of these memory banks. The receiver automatically tunes into the best receivable frequency for any station that you access from mem- ory.
