The station storing procedure begins.

●You can cancel the automatic stor- ing procedure at any time by press- ing any button.
Listening to stored stations
➮Select the memory bank or wave- band.
➮Press the softkey 4 that is as- signed to the name or frequency of the station that you want to listen to.
Programme type (PTY)
Besides transmitting the station name, some FM stations also provide informa- tion on the type of programme that they are broadcasting. Your radio can receive and display this information.
For example, the programme types can be:
CULTURE TRAVEL JAZZ
SPORT NEWS POP
ROCK CLASSICS
Using the PTY function, you can direct- ly select stations of a particular pro- gramme type.
If you specify the programme type and start seek tuning, the unit will switch from the current station to a station of the selected programme type.
Note:
●If no station is found that corre- sponds to the selected programme type, you will hear a beep sound and “NO PTY” appears briefly in the display. The radio will then re- tune to the station that was re- ceived last.
PTY-EON
If the tuned radio station or another sta- tion on the broadcasting network broad- casts the required programme type at a later point in time, the radio automat- ically switches from the currently tuned station or from CD mode, CD changer mode / CompactDrive MP3 mode or AUX mode to the station whose pro- gramme type matches the one you se- lected.
Activating PTY
To use the PTY function,
➮press the TUNER button < in ra- dio mode.
The radio functions menu appears in the display.
➮Press the softkey 4 assigned to the “PTY” display item.
If PTY is activated, the display shows the current programme type. PTY lights up in the display. The programme types are displayed alongside the softkeys 4.
Cancelling PTY
To cancel the PTY function,
➮whilst the programme types are be- ing displayed, press the softkey 4 assigned to the “OFF” display item.
